I just heard that Chris LeDoux passed away today. I know there aren't many in this forum yet, but those that are, please offer up your prayers for his family. Chris greatly influenced my music, and he will be sorely missed.

Chris LeDoux was an incredible talent who will be missed. I'm glad I had the opportunity to see him in concert at least one time. For an older performer that guy could ROCK!!! His family and friends are all in our prayers.

The following was posted in the "Introductions" section by my good friend Scott Kolecki. It seemed appropriate to post his thoughts here as well.....
Scott wrote: Sadly, I post this in the wake of a great loss in the country music industry-the death of Chris LeDoux. Chris Mayor introduced me to this other Chris many years back when he and I were just beginning to dive into our own musical ventures, and it is hard to believe that this talent from whom CM and I learned so much has passed on.

Thank you CM for copying that into this thread.
I must honestly confess that I felt a sort of "personal loss" at the passing of Chris LeDoux. His death troubled me a lot and I was a little surprised at this. I guess I had gained a lot of respect for CL through the music that Chris Mayor and I shared over these past several years. As I made mention of earlier, CM and I learned a lot from Chris LeDoux...and I want to thank him for that.
So, in a prayer, I offer this up...
"Chris, if you can hear me, thank you for the many gifts you gave us. Your music, which was as honest and true as anything ever heard in country music, will always be a reminder to me to stick to my own beliefs and not try to be anything other than myself. Your passing, though sad, has left us with much great music, and, though this last part might be an indirect consequence, you helped mold some part of my own musical interests, passions and beliefs. God speed Chris."
